Prenatal and Postnatal Physiotherapy
Congratulations, what an amazing journey you are on! If you are experiencing pain or restricted movement either during pregnancy or post partum, then prenatal and postnatal physiotherapy could make that journey a little easier.
No two pregnancies are the same so it is important to take an approach which will consider your medical history and any past musculoskeletal injuries, rather than a blanket approach for all pregnant women. Your uterus is unique, just as your delivery will be. So a personalised treatment plan is key.
I know that the pressure to regain your pre pregnancy body must be overwhelming and there is so much conflicting advice out there. Should you be doing core exercises? Should you be running to return back to your post baby weight? Should you avoid running if you suffer from leakage when you sneeze or jog? Will that get better in time? (This is unfortunately not the case for many pre and postnatal mothers, but it’s NOT something you have to live with, I can help with that too!).
All of these questions can be answered with an assessment which will give you a clear understanding of where you are and why you have these symptoms. We can then begin to address them. Don’t just accept them as your new normal.
When it comes to returning to exercise post pregnancy, you need to know when the right time is for YOU, not follow the advice of family and friends or an Instagram influencer. Most of the information out there is just a guide and is neither written in stone or written for you, but I can help you find the right path.
I won’t tell you to just work your glutes and core and do some yoga. We will work through any issues systematically and give you the opportunity to heal.

- Inform an individualised exercise plan and guidance
- Teach you how to help yourself longer term
